Far UVC excimer technology
When high energy atoms form a short lived molecular pair and gets electronically excited, it change to a temporary atomic state called "excited dimer", and release energy as it return to its original state, it could be vary by the elements that being use.
In this case Kryptoncloride(KrCl), a noble gas compound inside the lamp chamber gets excited by high-energy electrons and generates an intense plasma discharge, also known as dielectric barrier discharge. The generated plasma contains high-energy electrons which can be immediately extinguished. The plasma induces the atomic excitement of the noble gas inside the lamp and triggers the formation of the excited dimers. We use this technique to generates 222nm ultraviolet photons, this particular wavelength is known for its excellent anti-microbial disinfection capabilities.

Care222 i-BT
The latest product released from USHIO Japan in 2020, the i-BT uses the Care222 Far-UVC light module for surface disinfection, and at the mean time includes motion sensor and rangefinder that will switch to a different setting while it detects whether if someone is around, so that people won't exceeding the TLV of ACGIH.
It's has 3 various models available for different scenario, the standard i-BT, the i-UDT that allows you to adjust the angle up to 45 degree, and the fixed i-DU downlight that can hide into the ceiling.
